OUR STORY

Goody Goody™ was a Tampa tradition that opened in 1925 and closed in 2005. We’ve lost too many of these iconic places over the years, and I did not want the name to just fade away into history. Goody Goody™ is one of those places that helped create Tampa’s identity.

At the Columbia Restaurant, which celebrated 115 years in 2020 — as did Hyde Park Village — we celebrate history, heritage, family and good food. That’s also what this restaurant means to me.

In the heyday of Goody Goody™, it was a simpler era. People were more helpful to one another, kinder to one another. That’s a feeling I want to bring back to this restaurant, at the very least for the time our guests spend with us.

I promise to do everything within my power to recreate the flavor and memory of Goody Goody™. I also promise to go back to the way the food was prepared in the old days.

This historic neighborhood, close to the original 1925 Goody Goody™ location on Grand Central at Dakota, is perfect for us.

I believe that the right food — and the right space — can help a community grow closer together.
